An undergraduate laboratory area was renovated, combining four standard labs to create a large open laboratory space designed for use by classes of 90 students. The laboratory contains 45 new full view fume cabinets. The existing supply air system was renovated to serve the new lab, and a new VAV fume exhaust system was added. Construction was completed in August 2008, only 8 months after starting design work.
